Camp has previously been targeted with several fatal attacks over the years.

More than 40 people were injured after Camp Liberty in Iraq was bombarded with missiles, following an eight-day blockade that prevented food and medicine from reaching the camp.
The former US military base near Baghdad is home to members of the People's Mujahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI/MEK), leftists who were exiled from Iran after the Islamic revolution in 1979. It has been targeted by forces loyal to Tehran several times in recent years
The National Council of Resistance of Iran blamed militias affiliated with the IRGC Quds Force, a special unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, for the missile bombardment and called on the UN Security Council and the European Union to condemn the attack.
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the NCRI hailed the heroic perseverance of the residents of Camp Liberty and wished a quick recovery for those wounded in the criminal attack.
She added that the attack demonstrated that the religious dictatorship ruling Iran is terrified of the PMOI/MEK and the Iranian Resistance, which it views as an existential threat.
Since the camp's current residents have been there – after they were forced to move there from Camp Ashraf in 2012 – there have been several fatal attacks, in addition to the massacre carried out at camp Ashraf in 2011 that left 36 dead and hundreds wounded.
In 2013, three separate attacks against Camp Liberty left 12 dead and more than 170 wounded, while in 2015 another 20 residents of the camp were killed in a rocket attack.
The NCRI has also long complained that the standards at the camp are poor, and that it has been designated a temporary transit location rather than a refugee camp in order to avoid having to meet the minimum standards for refugee camps.

Iran: growing number of suicides amongst youth

The painful and unfortunate tragedy of numerous suicides in Iran have been gradually on the rise in the past few weeks, with the main reason behind this social phenomenon being widespread poverty and a new wave of hopelessness the people face in Iran under the mullahs’ rule. One may conclude that unfortunately suicide in Iran is considered the last method of protest for the people. When people sees no prospect for the evaluation and resolution of the never-ending dilemmas in a society ruled by fundamentalist mullahs, this is how the youth react and show their protest to the incompetence and repressive measures imposed by the ruling elite.

IRANIAN PRISONER KNOWN AS A LEADING LADY FOR JOURNALIST

In a ceremony in Paris on May 2, Reporters Without Borders declared four journalists to be heroes and heroines of 2016; amongst them was Ms. Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian political prisoner, lawyer, and human rights activist.
During this ceremony, Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo expressed her support for all those who work for freedom of expression. She presented City of Paris medals to the chosen journalists and praised their endeavors, saying that the gates of the French capital will always be open to them.

Mohammadi has been arrested many times for her human rights activities. She was last arrested on 5 May 2015 at her home by judicial security agents without prior notice and was transferred to the notorious Evin Prison in northern Tehran. The arrest initiated a six-year prison sentence that had already been handed down in March 2011.

IRAN: ROUHANI BACKS ONGOING EXECUTIONS AND HARSH PUNISHMENTS

The UN special rapporteur on human rights in Iran has indicated that in 2015 alone, the regime carried out executions of at least 966 people. Groups like the NCRI have been keeping track of hangings so far this year and have seen similar trends. The NCRI indicates that at least 55 people were executed in the month of April alone, and that another 10 were hanged in just the first three days of May.

Most of the victims of this capital punishment are reportedly non-violent drug offenders. Meanwhile, some individuals are condemned to death in Iran for offenses that would not be recognized as crimes in other modern nations. Many of these are vaguely defined under terms like “enmity against God,” which clearly reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to its theocratic identity.

Paris: Khamenei image posted as press freedom enemy #1

Paris streets witness images of Khamenei as enemy of press freedom

Images of Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei has been posted in the streets of Paris as press freedom enemy #1.
Marking ‘Press Freedom Day’, Reporters Sans Frontiers launched a campaign on Tuesday, May 3rd condemning regimes oppressing press and media freedoms.
A French graphic company has for the fifth consecutive year voluntarily installed related posters in this regard throughout the streets of Paris. These posters include images of 12 regime leaders identified as enemies of press freedom. Khamenei is amongst the 12 such figures whose images were seen in these posters.
“Iran is ranked 169th in this year’s annual RSF report. 38 journalists are currently behind bars in Iran,” was the text describing Khamenei’s image.

This poster also explains how journalists in Iran are interrogated, tortured and accused of charges such as espionage.

The Mullahs of Iran and Daesh (ISIS): Who is worse?

Children undergoing training by the mullahs ruling Iran
to export their terrorism to Syria and across the Middle East

The terrorist regime ruling Iran has recently launched a wave of measures in its terrorist workshops, and provided a significant amount of propaganda for this very purpose. The mullahs’ have now been seen training and preparing juveniles, lower than the legal age, for a fate that has become crystal clear for all throughout the globe.
What future do the ‘Godfathers of Daesh-ISIS’ (as the mullahs’ are dubbed by the people in Iran) have in mind for these children? Instead of sending them to schools to receive the education they need, they are provided various military trainings, how to use an assault rifle and even fire a rocket-propelled grenade. This includes children under the age of 10. For what unconventional battlefronts are these children being trained for? In what country lies the root of Daesh’s expansion and growth throughout the Middle East and across the globe?

Iran: “sensible” security threats make “insensible” patrols a necessity

The atrocity of thousands of spies and repressive agents dispatched by the mullahs’ regime in Iran under the pretext of ‘insensible’ patrols, used to impose a climate of fear and crackdown, has reached such an embarrassing height that senior Iranian regime officials are pointing fingers and blaming each other for its dire consequences. As this plan was announced by Tehran police chief Sajedinia, Iran’s judiciary chief came to the scene saying,”Mal-veiling and having no hijab at all is considered a crime”.

Anti-labor mullahs’ regime in Iran couldn’t tolerate even a controlled Labor Day rally

State authorities in Iran attacked members of the Bus Drivers Union who chanted their own slogans and raised placards in a demonstration staged in Tehran’s Taleghani Avenue. The placards were all rounded up and two syndicate members were arrested.
“Fair pay is our right”, “Release jailed laborers” and “Syndicates are our right,” were the slogans seen on the placards.

Iran: Truly, what is the share of Iran’s society for these children?

 Children of Iran

Let’s take a quick trip together, visiting the neighborhoods and gray streets of Iran. Let us see the cities’ busy highways. Let us hear the voice of Iran’s innocent children. They spend days and nights in these crowded streets amongst these vehicles, behind red lights, in busses, metros and other public areas of the city. With their desperate looks to the face of the people passing by to maybe sell a flower, some nuts, a newspaper or maybe a box of napkins. Yes, this is the share of Iran’s vast ocean of oil for these children!

Iran: another Tehran woman becomes victim of acid attack

Young woman is victim of acid attack
State media reported another acid attack in Iran on Tuesday, April 26th targeting a young woman in Tehran’s Vanak Square.
This young woman suffered 3rd degree burns in her hands, face and back, and is in need of numerous surgeries which have yet to begin, according to the president of Tehran’s Mottahari Hospital chief.

The motive behind this crime remains unknown, yet considering similar cases of acid attacks taking place in various cities against women and girls, the state paramilitary Bassij and plainclothes agents loyal to Khamenei have most definitely committed this crime. These operatives have never faced any judicial action or punishment by the mullahs’ regime in Iran.
