A “Moderate”’s “Hero”

A moderate or a hard liner, whatever name we give them, the two fractions inside Iranian regime have their discrepancies. Parliament, economy, international relations as well as mosques and religion are platforms each fraction uses to push the other side off the edge and to get a bigger piece of cheese. Nevertheless what brings discords within factions of Iranian regime is what that has unified them. Khamenei, the Supreme Leader or  Rouhani, the president, or other mullahs, whether a member of parliament or chief director of prisons, all have a common terrifying nightmare day and night. That is how to keep the lid on the bottle not to let the monster come out. The deprived citizens of Iran are looking for a chance to disseat the so called “Islamic Republic” of Ayatollahs.  It happened once in 2009 and can happen in 2016. IRAN: ROUHANI BACKS ONGOING EXECUTIONS AND HARSH PUNISHMENTS

The UN special rapporteur on human rights in Iran has indicated that in 2015 alone, the regime carried out executions of at least 966 people. Groups like the NCRI have been keeping track of hangings so far this year and have seen similar trends. The NCRI indicates that at least 55 people were executed in the month of April alone, and that another 10 were hanged in just the first three days of May.

Most of the victims of this capital punishment are reportedly non-violent drug offenders. Meanwhile, some individuals are condemned to death in Iran for offenses that would not be recognized as crimes in other modern nations. Many of these are vaguely defined under terms like “enmity against God,” which clearly reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to its theocratic identity.

Iran: “moderate” Rouhani no different from “hardline” Khamenei

Rouhani is in line with religious leader Khamenei in exporting terrorism and extreme warmongering

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in his speech on April 9th marking “Army Day” admitted to the presence of Iran’s armed forces in Iraq and Syria, and their pivotal role in maintaining Syrian leader Bashar Assad in power.
It was Iran that “defended the gates of Baghdad, and Iran deployed advisors to the Syrian capital when Damascus was under threat,” he said.
