As an Iranian, who has put the last
Persian calendar year behind me and I am beginning a new year for my tormented
country of Iran. The New Year for me is of course a year of hope and faith in
change, alteration and prosperity. For those who may not be familiar, the
Iranian calendar year begins with spring, this year on March 20th.
