Why are there so many unemployed and
laid offs in Iran? Why workers do not get paid for months?
Why Iranian people get poorer and
poorer while the prices in Iran get higher and higher?
Why women in Iran are suppressed and
considered, by law, as second hand citizens?
Why parts of Iran are now suffering
from draught?
Why kids, in Iran, have to work to
make the living for the family? Why pregnant women sell their babies before
birth?
Why Syrians, men, women, kids have
to risk their lives to find shelter in Europe and elsewhere?
Why . . . ?
Why . . . ? Why . .
. ?
For one simple but sad reason:
Mullahs and Ayatollahs, in Iran, have taken over the country.
“Vaez Tabassi” one of the most
powerful Ayatollahs in Iran and one of the closest allies of Ali Khamenei, the
supreme Leader has just made a lot of people happy. He died last week; He was
one of the most criminal Ayatollahs of Iran and died after four decades of
torturing and suppressing people and plundering their wealth.
Thirty seven years ago Iranian people were
happy for they managed to topple the despotic monarchy. Joyous of the Shah’s departure they could not
imagine how ruthless the new rulers could be. Ayatollah Khomeini and other
mullahs embraced the trust of Iranian people as they claimed to represent the
religion of Islam. Soon every Ayatollah became the sultan in a part of Iran.
“Representative of the Supreme Leader” became the absolute power in their
region,
Vaez Tabassi, who died last week,
was one of Iran’s most powerful Mullahs. For forty years he was Khomeini and
Khamenei’s representative in the north eastern province of Khorasan. His
unrestrained plunder of the wealth of the country pushed many Iranian families
to destitution. He made many habitants of Khorassan lose their homes and their
jobs. Many villagers have had to leave
their farms to look for job elsewhere.
Tabassi was from Khorassan province.
The city of Mashhad, the center of the province, houses the shrine of “Imam
Reza”, the eighth descendant son of Islam‘s prophet Mohammed. Millions of
Shi’ite Moslem pilgrims visit the shrine every year while many pay their levy
or donations there. As self claimed interpreters of the teachings of Islam
Mullahs took over the shrine on the very day they grasped power in Iran. All
the assets and endowments earned in this shrine go to the hands of its
“trustee”, who is appointed by the Supreme Leader. For almost four decades
Tabassi was the trustee of Mashhad’s shrine.
In 2008 Iran’s parliament, under the
influence of Khamenei passed a resolution that made all the books and records
of assets belonging to the “Leadership” unavailable to the public. The
resolution rules out any investigations or publicizing of Supreme Leader’s
belongings that also includes what is accumulated around Mashhad’s shrine.
Almost 500 employees, mostly of government secret agents, control and run the
holdings of the shrine in Mashhad.
By appointing Vaez Tabassi, one of
his close allies, as the trustee for the shrine in Mashhad, Khamenei got the
opportunity of spending the assets as he wished which included allocation large
amounts of fund for nuclear program, as well as, for support of terrorist
organizations in the neighboring countries. The wealth of the trustee of the
shrine is not known to anybody. There has not been any inventory since this
government came to existence in 1978. The London newspaper, Al Sharq Al Osat,
once described the Mashhad shrine as Iran’s second powerful financial
institution after Iran’s National Oil Company.
The shrine in Mashhad owns one third
of the land in Mashhad as well as some in other cities of Iran. Many factories
that produce textile, sugar, buses, pharmacy, engineering goods, along with
ranches and farms, mostly in Khorassan province belong to this financial
emperor. According to some of Iran’s state newspapers the investment in Mashhad
shrine is seven per cent of Iran’ gross product. This amount in the past fiscal
year reached 188 milliard Dollars.
According to websites of these trustees
the companies belonging to the shrine in Mashhad produce 73,000 tons of milk,
300 tons of meat, 1000 tons white meat, 100,000 tons of agricultural products,
10 million meters of textile, 6000 meters of handmade carpet. This “cartel”
also controls more than 136 rural projects.
This one example illuminates why
Khamenei, Rafsanjani, Rouhani and other Mullahs are holding tight to Iran’s
power instruments.
The dead Ayatollah Vaez Tabassi not
only plundered the wealth of Iranian people and pushed them to destitution, he
also funded the terrorists in other countries, he also arrested and tortured
many of Iran’s Mujahedin and other political and human rights activists. Many
of the names appearing in the long list of Iran’s martyrs belong to those who
were put to death by the order of Ayatollah Tabassi.
