It has been years that inmates have from inside Iran’s infamous prisons reported regime elements have turned prisoners into a source of income through selling drugs. Of course, the state-controlled prison management is engaged in this dirty and inhumane business with two different objectives. First, weakening and eliminating any ability and/or will to protest and resist inside Iran’s dungeons; second, providing a hugely profitable source of income for the regime through selling narcotics to the large number of prisoners taken captive by the mullahs’ crackdown apparatus.

 Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in his speech on April 9th marking “Army Day” admitted to the presence of Iran’s armed forces in Iraq and Syria, and their pivotal role in maintaining Syrian leader Bashar Assad in power.
It was Iran that “defended the gates of Baghdad, and Iran deployed advisors to the Syrian capital when Damascus was under threat,” he said.

Iranian actress, Thuraya Hekmat, dies in poverty



Iranian actress, Azar Mehdi Gholi-Khani, known as “Thuraya Hekmat”, suffered a brain stroke on Monday, April 4 and died on Friday, April 8. She was 62. Hekmat’s last appearance in Iran’s cinema is said to be the year of 2000.

In the Mullahs rein that have no respect for art and artist Hekmat had to continue her life in poverty and that was how she died. 
In an interview with Iran’s state news agency ISNA, back in August 2014, she said she could not even pay for her mortgage, adding she will be living in a tent soon afterwards. 

Iran’s ‘Arj’ Company goes out of business



Just a few days before the International Workers Day, Arj, one of Iran’s oldest producers of home appliances had to seize production laying off its precedential workers.

Iran’s state News Agency, ILNA wrote on Monday April 18th, “Arj that was an unforgettable part of Iranians’ nostalgia of from their childhood has now come to an end. The production line of Arj’s home appliances came to a stop and almost 200 workers were sacked.

International Labor Day in Iran, solidarity amongst all walks of life

We are nearing May 1st, marking International Labor Day, and each day there are new calls from laborers to stage marches and protests against the ruling mullahs’ cruelty and oppression. In solidarity with laborers across Iran, college students condemned the cruelty and oppression imposed on Iran’s laborers and called for solidarity from all walks of life. This includes students of South Tehran Free University who issued a statement in this regard: “We, a group of students of Tehran Free University, congratulate our country’s dear workers on International Labor Day and condemn the cruelty and oppression imposed against you under the mullahs’ regime. We call on all international organizations and anyone across the globe that are active in labor affairs to take action to improve the conditions of laborers.”

Police taking action against women and even young men’s clothing, considered “improper hijab” by the state, is one of the most comprehensive pressures imposed by the police and plainclothes agents against ordinary Iranians. 

Iran: Over 5,000 retired Isfahan steel mill workers rally outside parliament

According to reports received from Tehran, from 7 am on Sunday, April 17th around, 4,000 retired Isfahan steel mill workers – some with their families – rallied outside the Iranian regime’s parliament. The number of protesters increased by the minute, reaching 5,000 by 10 am. Reports say the rally continued for two days up to now.
The protesters demanded their unpaid pensions and retirement benefits.

Details on Iran’s attempts to abduct pilot who fled to Turkey

The Saudi-based Al Arabiya TV aired new details of an attempt by two Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS/VEVAK) agents in Turkey to abduct a pilot, Major Ahmed Reza Khosravi.
“Due to the difference in beliefs I had with the establishment, and because I did not believe in the system, and due to my occupation I was forced to do things my commanders asked me to do, including taking part in religious ceremonies that I had no belief in. I was also against the state’s policies, because these policies are based on deluding the people, duplicity and lies. Another issue that led to my resignation and fleeing from Iran was that all my work, personal life and anything I said was always controlled and under surveillance. I had no freedom in my personal life and even my wife’s telephone was under surveillance. I was truly bothered by these measures,” he said in this regard.

Iran: budget for medical care of thousands of cancer children disappears



Former officials involved in previous governments in Iran have unveiled documents showing how they stole huge amounts of money through fraud during their time in office.
Hrana news agency unveiled this new report and it remains unclear why such numbers have yet to be revealed or published, and who no government official has said a single word about this matter.
Ahmad Tavakoli, former economic advisor to then president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, “Many trillion of rials of government money was to spent on medical care for cancer and ill children, and those suffering from incurable illnesses. However, all of it suddenly disappeared!”
