Wednesday, February 10th marked the second day of a strike launched by 800 workers of the Hashoni mine in the town of Pabdana in Kerman Province, south-central Iran. These deprived miners have not received their paychecks for the past 4 months and they have gone on strike protesting the negligence seen in regime officials regarding their problems making ends meet. Regardless of all the pressures they are enduring these miners emphasize on continuing this strike until all their demands and rights are addressed.

Despite harsh working conditions in the mines, poverty has forced these miners to take on a second job to provide for their families.
