Only 13% of sanctions are nuclear-related, Iran MP says

Mullah Alireza Salimi, a member of Iran’s so-called parliament, expressed concern over the consequences of the nuclear pact sealed with the international community, the state-run Fars news agency reported on Sunday, February 7th.
“All of Iran’s sanctions are a large package, most of which are related to human rights, terrorism and ballistic missiles, and only 13% of the sanctions are related to nuclear issues,” he said.
“Our economy is in need of emergency surgery, and is on the verge of bursting like the appendix of an ill patient. If it doesn’t undergo surgery quickly it will inflict irrecoverable damages and more chronic problems down the road,” he added.
