Iran: supporters of political prisoner Mohammad Ali Taheri rally in Tehran

Free  Mohammad Ali Taheri
A group of supporters and family members of political prisoner Mohammad Ali Taheri rallied outside his home in Tehran on Sunday, February 7th, holding a protest rally and carrying flowers, pictures and tracts.
It is worth noting that the mullahs’ regime is not permitting these family members to hold any protest rally outside Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, while they are only seeking to visit their loved ones behind bars. As a result, a large number of Taheri supporters had no choice but to gather outside his home as the site of their protest rally against the Iranian regime.

After his five year prison term came to an end, Taheri is currently in his 8th day of hunger strike in prison, and reports indicate he intends to continue his unlimited hunger strike until his unconditional release from Evin Prison.
Taheri began this hunger strike on January 21st after his unjustified sentencing of five years behind bars came to an end.
Eyewitness reports indicate security agents even prevented Taheri’s wife from exiting her own home, and did not permit her to have any contact with the protesters.
The protesters reached 350 in numbers and as a symbolic gesture placed flowers outside this political prisoner’s home.

On November 21st a number of family members of martyrs, missing individuals, political prisoners and Taheri supporters rallied outside Evin Prison only to be attacked bu Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS/VEVAK) agents. More than 30 of the protesters were arrested and transferred to Evin Prison.
