February 11th- Anniversary of Iran’s Anti-Monarchy Revolution

Iranian People’s cold reception for the regime’s celebrations

Despite months of propaganda, even by Khamenei himself, not many people showed up for Iranian regime’s celebrations at Tehran’s Azadi square.
Implementing IRGC and Besiege forces, as well as allocating compulsory quota for different ministries did not do any good for Khamenei and he failed to bring a suitable number of people to Tehran’s Azadi Square.

The situation in Iran’s other cities was not much different.  The number of audience in many areas was not enough to hold all the banners and placards which were left on organizers’ hands.

In Tehran, a large banner, showing a picture of Khamenei dropping his vote into a ballot box, was ripped off by people who tried to show their anger to the mock elections.
