Aleppo burning in flames, where is our humane conscience?

Unprecedented inaction seen from Western countries in the face of crimes in Syria
Vicious airstrikes targeting Aleppo and the barbaric massacre of civilians, especially women and children, by Bashar Assad, the inhumane mullahs in Iran and their allies and proxies, are without a doubt an unprecedented war crime and the great tragedy of this century. This has truly outraged the conscience of modern day humanity.
The rise and expansion of Daesh (the Arabic acronym of the self-proclaimed Islamic State, or ISIS) in the region, the wave of terrorism engulfing Europe and the never-ending lines of refugees seeking shelter in Europe are all the immediate results of leaving these crimes unanswered. This trend by the Syrian dictator, Iranian regime and its proxies in the region has continued for over five years.

The unprecedented barbarity raging these days in Syria, especially Aleppo, unveils the desperation of the mullahs’ regime in Iran and its allies in their confrontation against the Syrian revolution and Free Syrian Army. This is also an indication of Tehran’s dismal failure in salvaging the Assad regime. The past five years have shown the war campaign launched by Tehran and its allies against the Syrian people and opposition will render no result other than a miserable defeat.
The resilience seen in the Syrian people and opposition, especially the heroic locals of Aleppo, has set a glorious standard that will never be forgotten. Inaction in the face of this tragedy is a stigma in the international community’s report card.
As Iran’s war campaign failed in Syria and its experienced Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), Lebanese Hezbollah and herds of proxies failed to salvage the Assad regime, coupled with the increasing number of IRGC casualties in Syria severed their moral, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei was left with no choice other than dispatching units of his regular army to the Syria quagmire. This is a first for the Iranian regime ever since the Iran-Iraq War back in the 1980s.

During the past few days the city of Aleppo has witnessed intense and vicious bombings, especially airstrikes targeting Aleppo’s al-Quds Hospital on Wednesday, April 27th, and the recent carpet bombing campaign that has left more than 270 people killed, including 6 physicians and medical staff of the al-Quds Hospital, and unfortunately a large number of children. These bombings unveil more than ever before the true criminal nature and objectives of these attacks, all aimed at destroying the Syrian people. Silence and inaction by the world powers have instigated the global community’s conscience as waves of demonstrations and various campaigns have been launched across the globe.
