Mullah Mojtaba Mirdamadi, Friday prayer imam of Isfahan threatened to have
university professors “who undermine the Iranian regime’s values” murdered.
“Some professors in their classrooms are neglecting the path of the Islamic
revolution, and thus insulting values of the state and revolution! They should
know if they are not directed to the right path they will face the punishment
issued by [Khomeini] for Salman Rushdie, which was only the tip of the
iceberg,” he said.
“The enemy is seeking to create change inside the country through these
elections. Change in the perspective of America and its allies means ‘No’ to
the absolute mullahs’ rule and the Revolutionary Guards; the enemy is seeking
to have those elected to the parliament direct Iran into a state of
helplessness and poverty, and depict them as failures before the West,” Mirdamadi
added with major concerns.
