Sunday, January 31- Air
pollution in Tehran reached a critical level. A deputy in Tehran’s environment
Dept. said in regard of the contamination density of suspending particles of
less than 2.5 microns, that the air quality of Tehran has reached its unhealthy
conditions for sensitive groups.
Talking to IRNA, - Iran’s state
news agency- on Sunday, Mohammad Rastegari added,” upon the information
received from Tehran’s air contamination evaluation centers taking into account
the 42 unit rise in the contamination density of suspending particles of less
than 2.5 microns, index for air quality in the past 24 hours shows unhealthy
conditions for the sensitive groups”.
Air pollution is problem in Iran’s different cities, while the
officials in the Mullahs government have done no serious action about it. This
contamination has caused severe pulmonary and digestive diseases and chronic
headaches and even death among the citizens.
