Political prisoner Hossein Ronaghi Malaki surpassed his 30th
day of hunger strike in dire conditions. This political prisoner, on hunger
strike since March 26th, is suffering from kidney and stomach
problems, his internal stomach and kidney bleeding has intensified.
He is also suffering from “intense heart frequency problems”, severe
fatigue due to the hunger strike and lost 13 kilograms of his weight. The
father of this political prisoners, who in solidarity with his son is also on
hunger strike outside of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, said, “I will continue
my hunger strike as long as my son is in prison and his life remains in danger,
or until we both die together.”
The mother of this political prisoner had said prior to this, “They
took him to a medical specialist outside of prison on Tuesday and the physician
said he is in critical condition, must end his hunger strike and be
hospitalized. However, Hossein says he will continue his hunger strike until
his conditions change
