Ardeshir Shoja’ii, deputy director of Khuzistan Province’s Department of
Education, said, 78 per cent of elementary students deprived of education are
girls.
“There is a
total of 14,088 school children in this province who are deprived of education
and they are mostly consisted of 7 to 14-year-old girls”, he added.
He admitted,
“Most students in deprived areas are marrying in early ages and do not continue
